Worship Leader's Training Day
Just to let you know about Saturday's training event for worship leaders. Sarah and I were blessed and delighted to have 26 people come along to grow and learn in their worship leading. (We were expecting maybe 11 or 12!!)
The theme of the day was "Leading the Way and Getting out of the Way", and was a mixture of teaching, discussion and practical workshops designed to bolster strong, clear leadership skills but also show leaders how to step out of the spotlight and let the Holy Spirit take control of the agenda.
Everybody seemed to have a great time and get something from the day, (ourselves included!) and our hope is that the lessons learned will be taken back and used to take congregations to deeper depths and higher heights of worship in God's presence. A further blessing on the day was sponsorship by Integrity UK so that all attendees received a free CD/DVD of powerful new worship music!
Thanks for your prayers and encouragement as we seek to grow this ministry and build a network of worshippers across Ireland. Our next event will be on November 29th when the talented leader and songwriter Kate Hurley will be at Abundant Life for a weekend of ministry.
Munster Youth in Limerick
Friday 25th September saw Munster Youth gathering in Limerick City.
Munster youth's vision is to bring teenagers from around the province together in unity to worship God. It's a chance for youth to see a bigger picture and be part of a wider community of teenagers who want to live for Christ. The gatherings are hoping to strenghten local youth ministries and to build up relationships with like-minded groups.
We had a great meeting on Friday with 3 young people sharing the word of God and what he is doing for them. groups from Cork, Clare, Limerick and Waterford attended the meeting which was held in Christchurch Limerick.

People can be creative in their praying. There will be four stations available in the church where people can sit, kneel or stand to pray alone. Each station is a Creative Prayer place and has a particular theme: -
The “Tears” station is a place to express grief, brokenness, hurt or sadness etc., where you can use the ancient tools of sackcloth and ashes to lament.
The “Shredder” station is a place to write down wrongdoings, bitterness, names of those who hurt you etc., using a shredder if you have the courage to forgive.
The “Private” station is a place of seclusion for you and God only, where you can read “The Father’s Love Letter”.
The “Seed” station is a place to try and move on or dream or hope – where you can plant a seed in a pot to signify a new start in life.
Come & join us in making a difference!
Kevin
