Worship Leader's Training Day
Just to let you know about Saturday's training event for worship leaders. Sarah and I were blessed and delighted to have 26 people come along to grow and learn in their worship leading. (We were expecting maybe 11 or 12!!)
The theme of the day was "Leading the Way and Getting out of the Way", and was a mixture of teaching, discussion and practical workshops designed to bolster strong, clear leadership skills but also show leaders how to step out of the spotlight and let the Holy Spirit take control of the agenda.
Everybody seemed to have a great time and get something from the day, (ourselves included!) and our hope is that the lessons learned will be taken back and used to take congregations to deeper depths and higher heights of worship in God's presence. A further blessing on the day was sponsorship by Integrity UK so that all attendees received a free CD/DVD of powerful new worship music!
Thanks for your prayers and encouragement as we seek to grow this ministry and build a network of worshippers across Ireland. Our next event will be on November 29th when the talented leader and songwriter Kate Hurley will be at Abundant Life for a weekend of ministry.
A video to support Brent and Lori
We are all so delighted that Brent, Lori, Saorse, Aine & Ianna are back safe & sound (apart from Brent's back!!!) in Limerick after completing a successful time of itineration in the USA.
We say a BIG THANK YOU to all those who invited, supported and encouraged the Engets while they moved from place to place in USA recently. You guys are wonderful & we appreciate your support for them and Limerick! Thank you!
Website progress - how you can help!
Another appeal to Abundant Life's partners - not only do we still need testimonies, but if you are involved in a ministry of any kind within the church, I would encourage you to start thinking about how you want that ministry represented on the new look website. The theme of the website is "Real life, real people", so our hope is to portray the activities of the church in a way that is real, relevant and interesting to the man on the street. Please do discuss it with the others involved in your ministry, and start writing/designing/creating for our internet outreach!
Thanks very much and God bless,
Martin
