Partnership

Abundant Life Christian Church encourages its attendees to consider and investigate becoming "Partners" of the church. More information about what this means and what it entails below:

Follow up:

• Our church has an "open door" policy. This means that, providing that an individual is not disrupting the church or bringing disrepute to the Lord Jesus, we welcome all who come without reference to their moral or spiritual standing. However, this might appear as if the church's standards are the same as those of anyone who might attend. We believe that standards do need to be clear and not just left to the whim of the individual! Hence, partnership is a means of maintaining the standards of the house of God, whilst maintaining an open door policy.
• Partnership is a means of a person committing themselves to that expected of a Christian.
• Partnership also is a way of serving those committed to the house of God in a way that is fair and helpful.
• It is clear that the Lord Jesus never intended for believers to "go it alone", but gave His life for the congregation of committed believers, which He named "His Church".
• We consider it usual for those hoping to become Partners to spend about 3-6 months settling into the church and being sure that Abundant Life is where the Lord wants them to be committed. However, during that time, you will be welcome to our Partnership meeting to observe how we operate.

Partnership is a voluntary and personal commitment to the life of the church, a sign of devotion and willingness to serve and support the vision and leadership. In return, the church commits to pray for, build up and support the individuals and families who become Partners.
